Latest company news about Xiaonian
Xiaonian, also referred to as the "Lesser New Year's Eve", is a significant traditional festival in China. It takes place on either the 23rd or 24th day of the twelfth lunar month. This festival serves as the official kick - off for the Chinese New Year festivities. At this juncture, every family starts gearing up for the grand advent of the Lunar New Year.

The specific date of Xiaonian shows some variations across different regions in China. In northern China, it is commonly celebrated on the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, whereas in southern China, it is usually observed on the 24th. This divergence can be traced back to historical customs and age - old traditions.

On the day of Xiaonian, people typically conduct a thorough cleaning of their houses. The intention is to sweep away misfortune and usher in good luck for the coming year. This act of cleaning not only makes the living environment neat and tidy but also symbolizes the elimination of old and negative aspects from life. Another custom associated with Xiaonian is the worship of the Kitchen God. According to Chinese mythology, the Kitchen God is responsible for monitoring the daily lives of every household throughout the year. During Xiaonian, people offer a variety of sacrificial offerings to the Kitchen God. They hope that the Kitchen God will report the good things happening in the family to the Jade Emperor, thus bringing blessings to the family in the new year. Besides that, people commence making various preparations for the Spring Festival. For instance, they purchase new clothes, stock up on New Year's provisions and other items, and start decorating their houses with red lanterns and Spring Festival couplets. These activities all contribute to creating a festive atmosphere, expressing people's eagerness and delight for the arrival of the New Year.

Xiaonian is not merely a time for various traditional customs but also a time for family gatherings. Family members often come together during this festival to share the joy of the approaching Spring Festival. At this special moment, the warmth and sense of happiness within the family are further intensified.
