Double Ninth Festival

Double Ninth Festival, also known as Chongyang Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. It is a time to pay respect to seniors and the elderly, as well as to enjoy the autumn scenery.
The festival's origins can be traced back over 2,000 years, when people believed that the number nine had a mystical significance as it represented good fortune and long life. The celebration is also linked to Taoism and the story of a man who ascended to Heaven by climbing a high mountain on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month.
